NBA on TNT pens a love letter to Chicago in its latest marketing campaign, which launches as the league preps for All-Star 2020.
The three-part video series, produced by B/R Studio, gives fans a glimpse of the city’s impact on basketball and culture, including why many consider it to be the real “Mecca of Basketball.”
YouTube influencer and founder of creative studio Lyrical Lemonade stars in the first 60-second installment, which aired during TNT’s Thursday night doubleheader. The video offers viewers an inside look at his All-Star weekend collaboration with Jordan Brand and how a new generation of artists in Street Level serve as proud spokespeople for Chicago.
WNBA champion and Turner Sports analyst Candace Parker, rapper and songwriter G-Herbo, Chicago legend and head coach of Marshall High School girls basketball Dorothy Gaters, and youth activist McKinley Nelson also star throughout the campaign.
The NBA All-Star game airs Sunday, Feb. 16 at 5 p.m. on TNT.
