Paramount Network revisits iconic movie backdrops in its new short-form digital series, On Location.
In each episode, host Josh Horowitz travels to film locations and interviews a celebrity who was involved in the project.
“Think of your favorite movie and I’ll bet you think of a vivid and memorable setting,” Horowitz told The Hollywood Reporter. “This series brings those iconic locations back to life with the participants themselves. As a film lover, I’m honored to be the guy to bring viewers along for the ride.”
That includes the streets of Manhattan where Lance Reddick filmed the John Wick movies, the New Jersey convenience store where Kevin Smith made Clerks, and the Philadelphia church where M. Night Shyamalan filmed The Sixth Sense.
“This is where I leaned myself into a career,” Smith says in the spot.
On Location will stream on Paramount Network’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts after the network’s “remarkable digital growth year,” Jennifer Danielson, senior VP digital studios for Comedy Central, Paramount Network and TV Land, told The Hollywood Reporter.
“Comedy Central has experienced massive success with amazing digital originals and we’re thrilled to take those learnings and apply them to the Paramount Network filters, focusing on big stories and iconic films,” Danielson said.
