Amazon Prime Video has unveiled the trailer for its newly acquired sci-fi drama, The Expanse.
The show, based on James S.A. Corey’s novel series, chronicles the political tension between Earth, Mars and the Belt thousands of years into the future.
Season four—based on the fourth installment of the series, “Cibola Burn—“will follow the Rocinante crew as they become tangled in a violent clash between a mining corporation and desperate Belter settlers on a new, unexplored planet.
The teaser previews the growing tensions as the characters find themselves in a blood-soaked gold rush to claim the Ring Gates’ untapped planets.
The Expanse was canceled by Syfy after its third season in 2018. Amazon picked it up 10 days after, a stint that the streaming service celebrated during San Diego Comic-Con 2019.
