The series tells the story of Fauna Hodel (India Eisley), a young woman who was given away at birth and grows up outside of Reno, Nev. Everything changes when she makes a discovery that leads her to question the story she’s been told about her life and start investigating what she thought she knew.

Together, they follow a trail that leads them to Dr. George Hodel (Jefferson Mays), a Hollywood gynecologist who is keeping many secrets of his own and may be tied to one of Los Angeles’ most infamous and unsolved crimes, the Black Dahlia murder.
