FX is once again mounting its full 100,000-square-foot outdoor experience at San Diego Comic-Con, which fans can find outside of the convention center. This year, the basic cable network and streaming brand will focus on its American Horror Story franchise as well as vampire comedy What We Do in the Shadows, Little Demon, Archer and Mayans M.C.
“We’re excited to be back at San Diego Comic-Con to engage with fans at this year’s much-anticipated event,” said Kenya Hardaway, senior vice president, integrated promotions-multi-platform marketing at FX. “We understand the value of shared experiences and are eager to host guests in our immersive, outdoor space where we will bring some of our shows to life in a way that we know audiences will love.”
Fans of American Horror Story will be able to stroll through the Garden of the Dolls and get a chance – by paying attention to FX’s social accounts – to try a makeup look by the artist who helped design the dolls for season two of FX’s anthology series American Horror Stories.
FX on Wednesday also released a trailer for American Horror Stories:
Fans of What We Do in the Shadows can grab a selfie inside of Nadja’s – San Diego, a nod to the show’s upcoming season.
Ahead of the August 25 premiere of FX’s new animated comedy, Little Demon – starring Danny DeVito and his daughter Lucy, as well as Aubrey Plaza – FX will offer a special preview screening on Friday, July 22 followed by the latest episode of What We Do in the Shadows. More information on attending those screenings also will be released on FX’s social channels.
Attendees also can take a personality quiz at custom kiosks to help them determine which FX shows are the best fits for them.
FX’s panels at SDCC include:
– Little Demon on Friday, July 22 at 4 p.m. at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront’s Indigo Ballroom. That will immediately be followed by a panel on Archer at 5 p.m. in the same room.
– Mayans M.C. at noon on Sunday, July 24 in Hall H followed by What We Do in the Shadows at 1:15 p.m.
