It’s a story as old as time: two people have an affair and pretty soon, both of their lives are ruined.
In Hulu’s five-night event, Candy, Jessica Biel plays Candy Montgomery, a bored Dallas housewife who has an affair with a friend’s husband. What starts out as just a run-of-the-mill dalliance soon spins far more out of control than anyone, including Candy, could have predicted.
Besides Biel, the series also stars Timothy Simons (Veep), Melanie Lynskey (Yellowjackets), Pablo Schreiber (Halo) and Raúl Esparza.
Candy is written and produced by Robin Veith (Mad Men, The Act). Nick Antosca (The Act) executive produces along with Alex Hedlund. Biel and Michelle Purple executive produce for Iron Ocean. Michael Uppendahl directed the pilot and executive produces. Jim Atkinson and John Bloom are consulting producers.
Candy comes from Universal Cable Productions, a division of Universal Studio Group, and Disney Television Studios’ 20th Television.
Candy premieres Monday, May 9 with a new episode dropping each night until the finale on Friday, May 13.
