Netflix just scored a big deal from animation giant DreamWorks, including original content featuring existing DreamWorks characters.

In a larger plan to increase its television production, DreamWorks is producing more than 300 hours of content for Netflix, including the previously announced “TURBO F.A.S.T.,” which will be available in December (the movie “Turbo” premieres July 17).

Read more about it at Deadline.

Brief Take: This deal works to both companies’ advantage, with DreamWorks able to expand its TV footprint and Netflix increasing its original content.
