Los Angeles native Jonny Lopez was the valedictorian of Promax’s second Promo Pathway cohort in 2014. Right after he gave his valedictory speech, a representative of Warner Bros. approached him and invited him to come to Warner Bros.

As Lopez tells it, he graduated, had a nice weekend, visited Warner Bros. on Monday, signed papers on Wednesday and by the end of the week he had edited together his first spot.

Since then, Lopez has edited an untold numbers of promos for the studio, but he’s also evolved into producing more creative work, like the spot for Titans’ new villain, Deathstroke (above) and those below for another DC Universe series, Swamp Thing.
