After 495 days away from the ring, WWE fans are returning with a vengeance. Fox Sports teamed with Los Angeles-based creative agency Compadre to capture all of the excitement as fans are finally able to return to live arena shows.
Reminding everyone of the months they spent in lockdown and quarantine, the spot starts with shots of sad, empty arenas and then speeds up the pace with savvy sound design and fast-paced edits. Finally, the stars are prepping for their return—sequined costumes and all—until the crowd finally reappears.
Besides crafting the hero spot, Compadre also developed on-air promo elements that ran across Fox’s programming.
WWE returned with a 25-city live tour starting in Texas on July 16.
