Hundreds of years in the future, a group of teenagers discover hip-hop for the very first time when Hulu’s Utopia Falls premieres on Valentine’s Day.

It all begins as 24 teenage candidates are chosen to take part in an annual musical competition known as The Exemplar. However, when Aliyah, the daughter of a government official, uncovers a mysterious archive, she is exposed to hip-hop, an ancient form of music culture that leaders her to question the world she lives in.

“There is so much incredible music here,” she says after discovering a Busta Rhymes music video. “It’s not just music; it’s books and art and who knows what else. Why would they keep something like this from us?”

The sci-fi hip-hop series will feature the voice of Snoop Dogg and music from artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Alessia Cara, The Notorious B.I.G., Daniel Caesar, Jessie Reyez, Bill Withers and The Roots. It premieres Feb. 14 on Hulu, and you can check out the key art here:
