Ghostly images flicker over the faces of Travel Channel‘s team of modern Ghostbusters as they return for season 16 of the network’s highest-rated series, Ghost Adventures.
In each episode, paranormal investigators Zak Bagans and Aaron Goodwin, along with audio/visual techs Billy Tolley and Jay Wasley, travel to meet with locals, eyewitnesses and experts to piece together a site’s haunted history. They then begin an all-night “lockdown” investigation, using the latest scientific gadgets and technology to confront the reported paranormal activity and document key evidence in an effort to uncover the truth.
To capture the stress and tension of those situations, Miami-based creative agency 2C put the show’s talent into a live-action shoot and then applied different lighting techniques to create a disturbing, mysterious atmosphere.
“The team at 2C instantly understood that we wanted to lean into the scariness factor around the Halloween season and we enjoyed collaborating with them on this spine tingling journey,” said Trish Johns Scanlon, VP, brand creative at Travel Channel, in a statement. “We have high hopes that this campaign will hook fans and that this season of Ghost Adventures will set a new bar of success for the series.”
The agency also licensed licensed Safari Riot’s cover of the classic Pixies song, “Where Is My Mind,” which both agency and network thought paired perfectly with the spot’s cinematic visuals and haunting show footage.
“It’s especially rewarding when you have the opportunity to take such an established fan-favorite show like Ghost Adventures and put a fresh spin on its promotion,” said 2C Creative Director Ben Frank, also in a statement.
The show returns for more paranormal investigations on Sunday, Nov. 3 at 9/8c.
