Doctor Who returns this November with not one but three holiday episodes, featuring the return of David Tennant as the fourteenth doctor (Tennant also played the tenth doctor) and his companion Donna Noble (Catherine Tate). Jemma Redgrave also reprises her role as Kate Lethbridge-Stewart.
It’s expected that the three-episode series will lead into Ncuti Gatwa’s (Barbie, Sex Education) debut as the fifteenth doctor, which many expect will happen either at the end of the November mini-series or during the special slated for Christmas Day. A full season of Doctor Who, starring Gatwa, is then expected to premiere next spring, but no official dates have yet been announced.
Doctor Who airs on the BBC in the UK and Ireland and on Disney Plus in the rest of the world.
