Activision, Blizzard Entertainment, Microsoft Xbox and Ubisoft are all finalists to be named marketing team of the year, while 215 McCann, gnet Agency, Liquid Advertising and Petrol Advertising are finalists to be named agency of the year in PromaxGAMES’ annual awards competition.

Winners of those major categories and more will be announced at a gala ceremony at The Midway in San Francisco on Thursday, April 26.

PromaxGAMES takes place annually with a day-long summit of panels and presentations, followed by the awards ceremony. The PromaxGAMES Awards recognize the creative and marketing strategies that have been used most effectively to build audiences and awareness for the world’s biggest game and entertainment brands.

Other categories to be awarded include best TV or theatrical ad, best promotional trailer and best long-form promotional content.

Speakers at the one-day event include Nate Nanzer, commissioner of Overwatch League, Blizzard; Nicolas Darveau-Garneau, chief search evangelist, Google; and Belinda J. Smith, global director, media activation, Electronic Arts. The day will be emceed by Ericka Bozeman and Damien Haas of Smosh Games.
