The season-long partnership integrates Opendoor into the narrative of each episode, with homeowners using the app or the website to look at potential new homes while they consider selling their current one.
“Current trends in both the housing market and consumption of home genre content make this the perfect time to bring Opendoor’s message to our audiences. We’re delighted to partner with Opendoor to make this innovative platform an integral part of Move or Improve to help homeowners make smarter decisions,” said David DeSocio, EVP, ad sales marketing and partnerships, A+E Networks, in a statement. “This strategic and serendipitous integration enabled us to tell compelling and organic stories that are relatable and helpful to so many viewers.”
“Moving isn’t just about moving from one home to another, it’s about transitioning to a new stage in life. Whether you’re getting married, starting a family, taking a new job, or resizing your home, moving can change your life,” said David Corns, vice president of marketing at Opendoor, also in a statement. “A&Es Move or Improve is a great fit to demonstrate how Opendoor helps people sell, buy and transition to what’s next in life in one simple, fast, and seamless move.”
Move or Improve follows homeowners who find themselves needing to make a life-changing decision: whether to renovate and stay in their current home, move to a different home nearby, or relocate to an entirely new city. All of the potential buyers are wondering if they can get the home of their dreams for the same price as their current home.
Move or Improve, which is produced by A+E Networks’ Six West Media, premieres Saturday, August 13 with two back-to- back half-hour episodes at noon and 12:30 p.m. ET within the network’s Home.Made.Nation lifestyle programming block. It will then be available to watch the next day across A+E Networks’ digital platforms.
