News streaming service CBSN is being rebranded to CBS News Streaming network, said Neeraj Khemlani and Wendy McMahon, presidents and co-heads of CBS News and Stations, on Monday.

The rebranded service includes a live national feed from CBS News as well as 13 local news feeds, including CBS Miami, which just launched its local stream on Monday. The service also will include content from such CBS News programs as 60 Minutes, 48 Hours, CBS Sunday Morning, Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan, the CBS Evening News with Norah O’Donnell, CBS Mornings and CBS Saturday Morning. As part of the news streaming service’s overall rebrand, it received new music and graphics. Ahead of the 2020 election, creative agency Troika refreshed CBS News’ overall brand.

“CBS News and Stations’ local streaming channels are growing at a rapid pace and will continue this year through the significant expansion of coverage in all of our markets, giving us an additional 15,000 hours of live local news per year by the end of 2022,” said McMahon in a statement.

According to CBS, CBSN in 2021 delivered more than 1 billion streams while CBS stations’ local streams increased 37% from 2020.

“Our commitment reflects the relevance and importance of local news to audiences across the country. We are excited to launch CBS News Miami today and look forward to completing the rollout of our local streaming channels later this year when we debut CBS News Detroit,” McMahon continued. “Unifying our brands and news-gathering resources positions us to deliver the best local-to-national-to global streaming news experience to our consumers however they want to watch.”

The CBS News Streaming Network will be anchored throughout the day by Vladimir Duthiers, Anne-Marie Green, Tanya Rivero, Lana Zak, and Elaine Quijano. They will be joined by Tony Dokoupil, co-host of CBS Mornings; Michelle Miller, Jeff Glor and Dana Jacobson from CBS Saturday Morning; Jericka Duncan, anchor of CBS Weekend News and CBS News national correspondent; as well as correspondents from across CBS News. The service will be anchored from CBS News’ new state-of-the-art studio at the CBS Broadcast Center in New York City. The 4,000-square-foot studio includes three pedestal robotic cameras, four main LED walls, four LED columns and numerous display and touchscreen monitors.

CBS launched its first local over-the-top (OTT) news service with CBSN New York in December 2018. Since then, the company has launched local OTT news services in Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Denver, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Sacramento and San Francisco. Miami just came online and Detroit is on track to start streaming later this year.
