Netflix’s opening credit sequence for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina pays tribute to the Archie Comics by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and artist Robert Hack that inspired the show.

The streamer’s adaptation of Sabrina the Teenage Witch is written by Riverdale showrunner Aguirre-Sacasa, who also serves as chief creative officer of Archie Comics. Netflix turned to Hack, the artist behind the original 2014 Archie Comics version of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, to bring the creepy opening to life.

For the main titles, he pulled from both his previous drawings from the comic, as well as new animations based off of the characters.
