Disney is prepping for its second annual Disney Plus Day on Friday, Nov. 12, with company-wide promotions and new content rolling out across Disney many platforms.

Starting at 6 a.m. PT on Friday, fans can follow @DisneyPlus on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for first looks at upcoming Disney Plus movies and series. And for new subscribers, Disney is offering one month of the streaming service for $1.99.

“Since launching two years ago, Disney Plus has captured the hearts and imaginations of audiences around the world with its best-in-class originals and robust library of beloved films and series,” said Kareem Daniel, chairman, Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution, in a statement. “With Disney Plus Day, we are creating an unparalleled experience for our subscribers as only The Walt Disney Company can.”

Several new series, specials and movies will drop on Disney Plus on November 12, including:

—New documentary, The Making of Happier than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles, which chronicles Billie Eilish’s recent Disney Plus concert experience at the Hollywood Bowl.

Marvel Assembled: The Making of Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings, which tells the story of Marvel Studios’ recent theatrical release.

Marvel Studios Legends: Hawkeye, revisiting Hawkeye’s epic MCU moments ahead of the Thanksgiving drop of new original series Hawkeye.

Enchanted, the 2007 live-action/animated film starring Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey

—Recent Disney Channel original movie Spin, in which Indian-American teen Rhea discovers her passion for creating DJ mixes that blend her South Asian culture with the world around her.

—And all episodes of season three of Fancy Nancy, which will launch day and date with its premiere on Disney Junior.

These titles join previously announced Disney Plus Day premieres including: Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings, Jungle Cruise, Home Sweet Home Alone, Olaf Presents, Frozen Fever, Paperman, The Ballad of Nessie, Feast, Get a Horse!, The Little Matchgirl, Tick Tock Tale, Tangled Ever After, Ciao Alberto, The Simpsons in Plusaversary, The World According to Jeff Goldblum, Under the Helmet: The Legacy of Boba Fett, Marvel Studios’ 2021 Disney+ Day Special, Entrelazados, and in international markets, Dopesick.

Disney Plus Day will be promoted across Disney’s network and syndicated shows, with Disney stars revealing what they enjoy streaming on Disney Plus in a series of spots starring such talent as Anthony Anderson and his mom Doris Hancox (ABC’s To Tell the Truth), Kelly Ripa (syndication’s Live! With Kelly and Ryan), Jesse James Keitel (ABC’s Big Sky), Yara Shahidi and Trevor Jackson (Freeform’s Grown-ish), Peyton Manning (ESPN+’s Peyton’s Places), Albert Lin (Nat Geo’s Lost Cities with Albert Lin), Bear Grylls (Nat Geo’s Running Wild with Bear Grylls), Sarah Paulson (FX’s American Horror Story), Kat Dennings (Hulu’s Dollface) and Tamera Mowry-Housley (Hulu’s Baker’s Dozen).

Original spots will air in ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown and Monday Night Football. Trivia will be included in a category focused on Disney Plus on Sony Pictures Television-produced game show Jeopardy!, which airs on ABC owned TV stations in top markets. All week long there will be Disney Plus Day integrations and in-show mentions in such programs as Dancing With The Stars, General Hospital, Live! With Kelly and Ryan, Wheel of Fortune, Tamron Hall, The View, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Stephen A’s World, NFL Live, NBA Today, SportsNation and more.

ABC’s owned TV stations are producing original programming dedicated to the day, including special episodes of Localish and On The Red Carpet. ABC’s Good Morning America will celebrate live from Times Square on November 12 with special guests from Disney Plus shows and spotlights on the coast-to-coast celebrations at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort.

Disney Plus subscribers will get special benefits across Disney theme parks and in Disney stores on Friday, Nov. 12, including being able to enter the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando and Disneyland Resort in Anaheim 30 minutes early.

ShopDisney will offer free shipping in the U.S. and Europe from November 12-14 to Disney Plus subscribers. For a limited time in the U.S., shopDisney will be rolling out new customizable products from Disney, Pixar Star Wars, and Marvel including short-sleeved and long-sleeved T-shirts for kids and adults from Disney Plus favorites: Raya and the Last Dragon, Luca, Star Wars: The Bad Batch and Loki.

Disney Publishing Worldwide will offer select $0.99 eBooks today through November 17 with stories drawn from the universes of Loki, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and The Mandalorian.

Disney and mobile-first digital collectible platform VeVe are launching a series of NFTs featuring characters from fan-favorite Disney Plus properties, including digital golden statues inspired by stories from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and The Simpsons. New digital collectibles have been available daily starting November 7 and will culminate on Disney Plus Day, with an offer of a special Ultra Rare digital collectible.

Merchandisers Funko and WizKids are offering discounts on Disney Plus-themed products and Disney is teaming up with Target to offer in-store activations throughout the weekend. Target shoppers will be able to sign up for Disney Plus and receive giveaways.

Throughout the weekend, more than 200 AMC Theatres will celebrate Disney Plus Day with four daily surprise movie screenings. Each movie will feature a surprise short, and guests won’t know which movie is being shown until the screening begins. Tickets for these screenings are $5 each, and guests will receive a free Disney Plus poster and a special concession offer with their ticket purchase. To celebrate the service’s first two years, Disney Plus is offering the service for $1.99 for the the first month for new and eligible returning subscribers through Sunday, Nov. 14. After that, the service will cost $7.99 per month. To get the offer, sign up at www.DisneyPlus.com/DisneyPlusDay.

Fans can also tune in to the Disney Plus Day celebration on TikTok where Disney Plus has launched an official account. The streaming service’s new TikTok will be home to short-form content featuring Disney Plus stories, brands, and characters.
