Los Angeles-based creative agency DixonCo has launched new content and production development arm Dixon Originals.
Jimmy Gadd, DixonCo’s creative director of development, is leading the new endeavor. Gadd comes to DixonCo from Marvel Studios, where he worked on the post-production team on projects such as Disney Plus’ Marvel series WandaVision and Hawkeye.
Prior to that, Gadd has spent more than 20 years working for such major studios as Warner Bros., Fox, Paramount, Sony, Netflix, Apple, Hulu and YouTubePremium. Over the course of his career, he has worked on such shows as CBS’ The Mentalist starring Simon Baker, FX’s Dirt starring Courteney Cox and Apple TV Plus’ Steven Spielberg’s Amazing Stories. Besides serving as a creative director, Gadd also has worked as an editor, producer, director and actor.
On the agency side, DixonCo has hired Chris Cossu as director of creative production. Cossu has more than 30 years of experience working for entertainment and consumer brands working on both the client and agency sides of the business in film, video, radio, print, social and digital.
Early in their career, Cossu worked in New York in production and post-production at Sony Music with artists such as Wyclef Jean, Alice Cooper, Mandy Moore, Rosie O’Donnell and Destiny’s Child. Cossu then moved to Washington, D.C. from 2001-11 to work at various networks at Discovery Communications.
After that, Cossu relocated to Seattle where they took on global ad campaigns for such brands as Microsoft, Nordstrom, Starbucks and Amazon. Cossu also produced three seasons of Miles Above: The Red Bull Airforce.
