“Enemies to the east, enemies to the west, enemies to the south, enemies to the north,” says Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), shown standing on a room-sized map of Westeros with her brother and lover, Jamie Lannister (Nikolai Coster-Waldau) reunited with her.

As Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) reminds us: the great war is here, and HBO’s trailer provides the first look at some great hints of what to expect when season seven of Game of Thrones premieres July 16 with seven episodes, down from the traditional 10.

Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) descends on Westeros, heading to Dragonstone with dragons, Dothraki and Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) by her side. A flash of footage shows a kiss between Yara Greyjoy (Gemma Whelan) and the Sand Snake Ellaria Sand (Indira Varma), while Yara’s brother Theon (Alfie Allen) seems to have some renewed strength with the sadistic Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) finally gone.

Meanwhile, newly trained assassin Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) appears headed toward Winterfell, not far from where Jon Snow threatens Littlefinger (Aiden Gillan) who sticks to the shadows as he plots his next move.

The longest promo released yet sparks endless questions about the upcoming season, including, where’s Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright)?

HBO also released key art for the new season and it focuses completely on one character not mentioned above:
