Fox this week released the extended trailers for the two new crime dramas it’s premiering in January after NFL playoff games.
Alert, from executive producers Jamie Foxx and John Eisendrath, stars Scott Caan (Hawaii 5-0) and Dania Ramirez (Devious Maids) as divorced couple Jason Grant and Nikki Batista who still work side-by-side on the Philadelphia Police Department’s Missing Persons’ Unit. While Officers Grant and Batista investigate missing persons in each episode, they are also on a series-long quest to discover the truth about their long-lost son.
The series also stars Adeola Role (The Blacklist), Ryan Broussard (Only Murders in the Building) and Graham Verchere (Stargirl).
Alert is co-produced by Sony Pictures Television and Fox Entertainment. Besides Foxx and Eisendraft, the series is also executive produced by Datari Turner, J.R. Orci, Adam Kane and Michael Offer.
Also from Fox Entertainment and Sony Pictures Television comes fast-paced anthology thriller Accused. Each episode explores a different crime in a different city with a different cast.
Based on the BBC’s BAFTA-winning crime anthology series, Accused is a collection of 15 stories of crime and punishment, with each episode a fast-paced thriller. The series is being adapted for U.S television by Howard Gordon (Homeland, 24) and executive produced by Gordon, Alex Gansa (Homeland, 24) and David Shore (House, The Good Doctor).
Accused stars Rachel Bilson, Oscar-nominee Abigail Breslin, Emmy-winner Michael Chiklis, Jill Hennessy, Whitney Cummings, Jack Davenport, Emmy-winner Margo Martindale, Emmy-nominee Molly Parker, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Emmy-winner Rhea Perlman, Wendell Pierce, Betsy Brandt, Emmy-nominee Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Emmy-nominee Jason Ritter, Oscar-winner Keith Carradine, Josh Hamilton, Ian Anthony Dale and more.
Chikis joins Oscar-winner Marlee Matlin, Emmy- and Tony-winner Billy Porter, and indigenous filmmaker Tazbah Chavez in directing episodes.
