Framestore Chicago conducts a symphony of light and sound in its main titles for Showtime’s anthology series Super Pumped: the Battle for Uber.

Set to a gently driving techno score, Framestore’s title sequence is mainly composed of light as the beams make their way through an ever more Uber-ized San Francisco.

Starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Uber founder Travis Kalanick, Super Pumped is the latest in a spate of dramas – such as Apple TV Plus’ WeCrashed, starring Oscar winners Jared Leto and Anne Hathaway, and Hulu’s The Dropout, starring Oscar nominee Amanda Seyfried – that are based on recent true events.

Super Pumped is based on Mike Isaac’s book of the same title. Besides Gordon-Levitt, it also stars Kyle Chandler as Kalanick’s mentor, Bill Gurley, and Uma Thurman as Uber board member Arianna Huffington along with Elisabeth Shue, Kerry Bishé, Jon Bass, Bridget Gao Hollitt and Babik Tafti.

The series is executive produced, written and showrun by Billions’ Brian Koppelman, David Levien and Beth Schacter, who are also producing a second season of the anthology series based on Mike Isaac’s’ upcoming book on how Facebook transitioned from tech start-up to global media platform. Paul and Stephen Schiff and Allyce Ozarski also executive produce.

Super Pumped premiered Sunday, February 27 on Showtime.
