François Dumoulin has joined global creative studio Framestore as VFX Supervisor on its Canadian team, which has recently added six VFX supervisors to both its Montreal and Vancouver teams.

Dumoulin comes to Framestore from Rodeo FX, where he worked on such projects as theatrical film Dune, Netflix’s The Sandman and Disney Plus’ Loki. He has been nominated for Emmy and VES awards for his work on HBO’s Lovecraft Country and shortlisted for a 2018 Oscar for his work on the film Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.

Framestore recently integrated Method Studios’ fim and episodic teams in both Montreal and Vancouver, incorporating VFX supervisors Phil Brennan and Christian Emond, who join Dumoulin in Framestore’s Montreal studio, as well as Pete Dionne, Mathew Krentz, Sean Schur and Ross McCabe in Vancouver.

Globally, Framestore’s film and episodic headcount has grown by some 40 percent, thanks to the integration of Method Studios’ film and episodic teams in Montreal, Vancouver and Melbourne, as well as the expansion of its new Mumbai Studio.
