Hallmark Channel has become known for its romantic Christmas movies, but with so many eyes on the network over the season, January is the perfect time to introduce something new.
Premiering on Sunday, January 15 is new original series The Way Home, starring Andie MacDowell, Chyler Leigh and Sadie Laflamme-Snow as three generations of women trying to find their way back to each other.
Catherine “Kat” Landry (Leigh) is returning home after being estranged from her mother, Del (MacDowell) for 20 years, and she’s bringing her daughter, Alice (Laflamme-Snow) with her. Alice doesn’t understand why her mom and her grandmother don’t speak.
For some reason, a pond on her grandmother’s property acts as a time-traveling portal when Alice jumps in, taking her back in time to meet her younger mom and to learn about the secrets that have divided her family.
The Way Home is executive produced by Marly Reed, Arnie Zipursky and Lauren MacKinlay for Neshama Entertainment; Larry Grimaldi, Hannah Pillemer and Fernando Szew for MarVista Entertainment; and Heather Conkie, Alexandra Clarke, MacDowell and Leigh.
