Los Angeles-based production music library Megatrax is celebrating its 30th anniversary by sprucing up its brand and offering its clients a new music search platform powered by an artificial intelligence-driven search assistant.
The rebrand—which includes a new logo, renewed brand mission and new website—is the culmination of a two-year project led by Director of Marketing James Clarke, who joined the company in 2018. As part of the refresh, Megatrax also has adopted a new tagline: “Greatness Through Simplicity.”
A simple but sophisticated aesthetic characterizes the refreshed Megatrax, with a new logo (below) at its center. Connector lines represent the connections Megatrax makes between its clients—including creatives in the film, TV, advertising, radio and podcasting industries, and its team of composers and producers. Complementing the new brand visual is a series of symbols inspired by legacy reel-to-reel players as well as modern digital audio workstations.

“This new website represents the largest and most ambitious initiative in our company’s 30-year history and promises to be a game-changer for the production music industry,” said Megatrax President Ron Mendelsohn in a statement. “Throughout our history, Megatrax has consistently been a leader in innovation and new technology. This new site is the latest and most important manifestation of that legacy, and we look forward to making it available to our clients to help spark their creativity and soundtrack the world’s content.”
“We based our brand overhaul on extensive market research and client interviews, with the outcome being ‘Greatness through Simplicity’ and our mission to offer a modern, seamless and intuitive user experience through every step of the music search and discovery process,” said Megatrax Director of Marketing James Clarke, also in a statement. “The new site is much more than just a cosmetic overhaul; the platform offers powerful new functionality, including a vastly improved search system and A.I.-based audio matching search technology. Clients are now able to drop a YouTube link into the search bar or upload an audio file. Simpli will analyze the audio and deliver the closest matches from our extensive catalog of music. We see this as another step toward fulfilling our brand mission: to help our clients find the right track quickly and effortlessly.”
