Amazon Prime, HBO, Hulu, Showtime and A+E Networks lead the finalists’ list for the Promax North America Awards 2019. Viceland, CNN Worldwide and FX Networks also lead the finalists’ list, said Los Angeles-based Promax, the leading global entertainment marketing association, on Wednesday.
In the association’s Global Excellence competition, Bell Media, NBCUniversal International, Comedy Central, Discovery Italia and HBO Singapore are among this year’s top finalists.
The Promax North America competition celebrates the year’s best achievements in entertainment marketing across every screen. The Global Excellence Awards honor the best work in all categories from across the globe. Awards will be handed out in a ceremony on June 6 in Los Angeles.
The Awards ceremony is the culmination of the Promax Conference 2019, the annual summit where leading media companies and agencies gather for industry-leading insights, strategy, creativity and professional development. This year’s conference takes place June 4 - 6 in Los Angeles at the JW Marriott at L.A Live.
“Once again we look forward to honoring the very best and most creative in our industry this year. The nominees for both the North American Awards and Global Excellence Awards have created work of the highest caliber and that will once again inspire creatives for years to come,” said Stacy La Cotera, senior vice president global awards development, executive producer of conference production and experience, in a statement.
All of the awards are judged by expert panels. The first round was completed online by Promax members as well as the board of directors. For the second round, juries convened in New York and Los Angeles to complete the judging process. This year’s nominees were selected by a diverse Global Excellence jury with representation from countries in Latin America, Europe, Middle East, Africa and North America.
