Queer Eye’s Fab 5 trek to Jonathan Van Ness’ hometown of Quincy, Ill., in season four to style and educate one of Van Ness’ favorite teachers, and while they are there, they sit down with a group of kids from Quincy High School’s Gay-Straight Alliance. The Fab 5—who include Antoni Porowski, Bobby Berk, Van Ness, Karamo Brown and Tan France—lead a discussion with the group about coming out, bullying and gender identity. The kids also talk about supporting each other and other kids no matter what they are going through, and how they hope other schools will follow their lead.
Queer Eye, originally a hit for Bravo, returned in 2019 with a whole new group on Netflix. Since then, the show has again become a cultural phenomenon.
